hi, i'm mya.
I have always been the “tech-y” child in my family but I first discovered my creative side when I would create graduation slideshows in iMovie. Were they good? Probably not, but my creativity and passion for storytelling was revealed.
My photography and graphic design interests grew while creating my high school yearbook. That lead me to pursue a technological degree at ASU, refine my skills, and spark a new interest in social media marketing. My experience creating content for non-profit organizations showed me that stories can be shared through any piece of content. I have photographed patients reuniting with their care teams, created videos on COVID-19’s impact on healthcare workers, and designed materials that highlight Indigenous youth in sports.
Everyone has a story to tell. Although it may not resonate with one person, it could impact a hundred others and build a long-lasting connection.
